The Internal Audit and Control Department held a workshop in the hall of the Post-graduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies, entitled “The Mechanism for Addressing and Resolving Observations of the Federal Board of Supreme Audit” The workshop was attended by the Dean of the Post-graduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Mohammed Thajil Al-Maamouri, a certified public accountant. Presenters included Assistant Professor Dr. Najla Hassoun Sada, Assistant Dean of the Post-graduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies; Dr. Mazen Kamel Alwan, Assistant Director General of the Audit and Follow-up Department at the Federal Board of Supreme Audit; and Dr. Haifa Yousef Suleiman, Director of the Internal Audit and Control Department at our university.
A number of students and faculty members from the Post-graduate Institute and staff from the University of Baghdad (Financial Affairs Department, Internal Audit and Control Department) also attended.
The workshop provided a detailed explanation of the mechanism for responding to observations contained in the Board’s reports and emphasized the importance for entities subject to its oversight to cooperate with the oversight bodies operating within institutions to address these observations and prevent their recurrence in the future.
The Post-graduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies, in cooperation with all departments of the University of Baghdad, strives to provide various services, including courses, seminars, and scientific workshops, in order to serve the university.
